physical prospects
physical prospects traces a feeling, a condition of crisis; it is the experience of shattering, collapse, and instability. physical prospects bridges an intimate sense of personal crisis and its ubiquity in the face of the climate crisis. The choreography creates space for one’s own feelings and seeks common ground therein. With queer perspectives on grief and rage, physical prospects probes its own fragility as a resistant anchor point. What can such resistance look like, how does it feel, and how does it materialize?
physical prospects is a choreographic question to be answered anew with each performance. A choreographic dialogue develops between perfomers, the installative landscape, and the space in which the piece is performed. Based on this principle, physical prospects can take on different forms. physical prospects never just arrives somewhere to be replicated in the exact same way but always searches for a conversation with the specific space it lands in.
